The Town of Groton’s Project Safe and Sound is an interdepartmental initiative to create a safer community for our most vulnerable residents, any person who may be at risk to wander is welcome in the program regardless of age.
This program includes a form to be completed by families with a loved one who may wander, become disoriented, or otherwise become separated from Caregivers. In the event that a person goes missing, this form will allow responding officers to have a current photo, information on where the person may go as well as effective ways to communicate and promote safety.
The information is only used when the Police are called upon to respond to the missing person. By filling out this form, you will provide first responders with critical information that will allow us to effectively and quickly assist. We ask that the information is updated annually or whenever important changes need to be noted.
